Most of the world’s poorest people are smallholder farmers. There are at least 570 million farms worldwide, and at least 475 million of these being family farms less than 2 hectares in size.

Evidence from various countries shows that when women control more household income, they spend more on food and education, directly benefiting their families. In our program, 100% of Women re-invest up to 95% of their income back into their families and their communities when compared to men who re-invest only 35%
